Marble Egg Cup
by Eric Byrne | M&B
You can’t beat a boiled egg for breakfast. Three minutes, butter, pepper and maybe some toast, we love them as a weekend treat. To serve a boiled egg there are many different options. We looked all over in search of a nice simple little eggcup. This search led us to Eric Byrne.
Eric is a second-generation master stonemason who has always had a passion for indigenous Irish stone. He handpicks each piece from quarries in Connemara (Marble), Kilkenny (Limestone) and Dublin for (Granite). Each piece of stone used is carefully chosen for its colour and strength.
We asked Eric to make us some simple egg holders. These have been kept as simple as possible, a beautiful marble collar. Each one has been cut from Connemara Marble, a rare marble found only on the west coast of Ireland. Cut, shaped and finished by hand in Dunboyne, Co.Meath.
Dim: 2cm x 5cm
Each sold individually.
Colours of marble will vary. If there are particular shades you might like do let us know.
