A hand-woven tweed cushion cover made on the west coast of Ireland by Studio Donegal; a contemporary interpretation of the traditional “Snail Trail” pattern. Twill and herringbone weaves of varying density give the design its distinctive curves and boxes while rich, earthy tones add depth. The nature of hand weaving gives a soft looseness to the fabric making these a cosy addition to any home.
For over one hundred years a hand-weaving mill has existed in the Irish village of Kilcar, South West Donegal. Studio Donegal was founded by Kevin and Wendy Donaghy with the aim of maintaining and preserving this long running tradition. Today their son Tristan works with a small team of skilled and experienced makers to keep it alive by creating an array of really beautiful, useful products.
Cushion are stuffed with Irish duck feather insert.
