We love wood and grew up with wooden plates used for everything from chopping the vegetables to serving ice-cream. It is not so easy to find Irish made wooden plates these days so we found a friend who was as excited as us to produce them. All the plates are hand turned in Kells using Native Beech, spalted by the Irish weather.
Beech is a perfect wood for the kitchen as it is naturally antibacterial.
