J. Hill’s Standard make contemporary cut crystal. Anike Tyrrell founded J. Hill’s Standard upon noticing the decline of glass making in Waterford almost coming to a complete stop. Knowing the skills of the older glass workers would soon end if not passed down, she set up an innovative company to continue on the craft with a fresh feel.

All pieces of their glassware are hand cut in Ireland by mastercraftsmen. We love their glassware and the fresh approach that they have taken to make cut crystal relevant again through a marriage of traditional craft and modern design.

Martino Gamper worked on the Cuttings series, while Scholten & Baijings developed a range of cuts for the Elements series
