Bosse studied at the Imperial Art School of the Museum of Art in Vienna, initially working in ceramics. Soon, however,  Bosse discovered a love for brass and began casting his early ceramic figurines to new brass models, going on to develop a new style with partner Herta Baller that became known as the Black Golden Line.

Renewed interest in Vienna bronze has reinvigorated this craftsman's work, and today production is located in a small, quiet village near the Austrian-Hungarian border. Bosse's legacy is carried on and upheld with the same knowledge, handcrafted quality, and original integrity of its founder.
