When we opened our Tiny Department Store recently Jameson Select Reserve very kindly helped us out with a seasonal drink for the evening. Working with a great Irish barman they developed a super tasty seasonal whiskey sour with apple and blackberry and their Black Barrel Reserve. We loved the mix, it was a real hit with all who joined us that night and we have received regular requests for the recipe ever since. If you like a sour and want a new seasonal take on a classic then do try the recipe below.
Jameson Select Reserve | Black Barrel – A large measure (40ml)
Lemon Juice – A good squeeze (25 ml)
Sugar syrup – 15ml (2 to 1 syrup)
Crème de Mûre – A good few drops (10ml)
Shake well and poured over ice
Top-up with cloudy apple juice.
Garnished with a few thin slivers of apple.
